By the Lord’s request, the Agape Word and Worship Center stemmed from a mission trip made by Pastor Shirley A. Greenslade to Haiti in 1980. Thru His calling, she received resources and blessings for this trip. The purpose of given name of the organization in Haiti, Agape Missions, was to raise, educate and teach the children of Haiti the Word and a trade so that they could help their people and their country.  In Haiti Pastor Greenslade was tasked with the care of many orphans.  God provided instructions means to encourage diligence and aid many children.  During her time in Haiti, she encountered love, devotion, pain, and suffering while visiting and preaching at many churches.

Unfortunately, the US Embassy notified Pastor Shirley and her missionaries to leave Haiti due to political unrest and danger for Americans.   Upon leaving Haiti, the missionaries adopted some children to other orphanages and to homes in the United States.  Pastor Shirley adopted a four-year old girl she raised in the United States.

Once home, the Pastor started an outreach of the Agape’ Missions called Agape Word & Worship Center.  The mission is a Ministry of helps charity and scripture knowledge and the purpose is to share God’s Word with as many people as possible.  Agape word and Worship Center holds a Sunday Services on Zoom, weekly Bible Studies, and Quarterly Seminars.  Pastor Shirley A. Greenslade has written six books:  The Word Works, Satan Is Defeated, Control, Mind Control, Communion, Strife and The Word Works in Spanish.

Pastor Shirley, via Agape Word and Worship Center, continually tithes (via book sales) both locally and internationally to groups including:  Ronald Mc Donald House; St. Jude’s Hospital; Valley Creek Church; Volunteers of America; Faith Christian Fellowship, Creflo Dollar Ministries; Gateway church; Haven of Rest Ministries; JOHN 21:17 Feed my Sheep; Joyce Meyer Ministries; Kenneth Copeland Ministries; Mercy Ministries; and Akron Children’s Hospital.

We Believe

- There is one God in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit (I Cor 12:4-7)
-If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved (Rom 10:9,10)
-God’s Word is a necessity in our daily lives (Deut 8:3; Matt 4:4)
-God’s Word is the final authority in every situation! (Matt 4:4; Is 40:8; I Pet 1:23,25)
-We cannot please God without faith that works by love (Heb 11:6; Gal 5:6)
-God never tempts us; God gives us only good and perfect things (James 1:13-17)
-The royal commandment is love (Mark 12:30,31)
-Healing is ours by the stripes of Jesus (Isaiah 53:5; I Pet 2:24)
-True prosperity is wholeness (nothing missing, broken, needed, wanted) in any area of our lives. It is using God’s grace (abilities, capabilities, equipment, power, and anointing) to meet every need. Spiritual prosperity must be first. We are blessed to be a blessing to others (II Cor 9:6-8; Gen 12:2)
-In tithing and giving (Deut 26:1-10; Luke 6:38)
-Everything from God comes only one way – believing His Word in our hearts and confessing it with our mouths. (Rom 10:9,10; Mark 11:23,24)
-The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and His gifts are for today (Acts 1:8; I Cor 12:7-11)
-Forgiveness is not an option; it is a command (Mat 6:14,15)
